EVET 2290 - EV Capstone

4 sem hrs cr

This course provides a platform for students to students integrate, synthesize and apply the knowledge, skills, and perspectives acquired in the EVET curriculum. Students will demonstrate the ability to diagnose, disassemble, repair, and reassemble EV components and systems. Students will demonstrate EV safety and knowledge of regulations. The course can be completed through internship, apprenticeship, or a comprehensive student project. Corequisite: EVET 2230 , EVET 2250  

In rare and unusual circumstances, a course prerequisite can be overridden with the permission of the Department Lead for the discipline.

General Objectives

  • An ability to apply knowledge, techniques, skills, and modern tools of mathematics, science, engineering, and technology to solve well-defined engineering problems appropriate to the discipline
  • An ability to design solutions for well-defined technical problems and assist with the engineering design of systems, components, or processes appropriate to the discipline
  • An ability to apply written, oral, and graphical communication in well-defined technical and non-technical environments and an ability to identify and use appropriate technical literature
  • An ability to conduct standard tests, measurements, and experiments and to analyze and interpret the results
  • An ability to function effectively as a member of a technical team

Specific Objectives

  • Understand, explain, design, create, and execute an EV diagnosis plan in either an individual or team-based scenario from inception through completion
  • Demonstrate application of process analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Present and defend the outcomes of the EV diagnosis
