High-Voltage Architecture and Integration covers advanced charging processes including charge-sensing circuits, charging rates, and cabling. Topics include theory, operation, diagnosis, service, and repair of high-voltage energy storage systems in electric vehicle and energy infrastructure applications. Corequisite: EVET 2230
In rare and unusual circumstances, a course prerequisite can be overridden with the permission of the Department Lead for the discipline.

- An ability to design solutions for well-defined technical problems and assist with the engineering design of systems, components, or processes appropriate to the discipline

- Discriminate a malfunctioning charging station versus vehicle charging port
- Investigate future charging concepts
- Explain the role of power inverter
- Diagnose and repair a malfunctioning inverter
- Decommission and replace an onboard charger
- Perform an isolation test of a power inverter
