Cyber Defense Concentration (A.A.S.)

The A.A.S. in Computer Information Technology with a Cyber Defense concentration is designed for students desiring a two-year non-transfer degree program to prepare them to enter the workforce, sustain their career, or seek career-growth opportunities in the field of entry-level cybersecurity.

GENERAL EDUCATION (15 credit hours)


Communications (6 credit hours)


Humanities/Fine Arts (3 credit hours)


One of the following:

Mathematics (3 credit hours)


One of the following:

(MATH 1630  or MATH 1710  recommended)

Social and Behavioral Science (3 credit hours)


One of the following:

Semester Hours Credit: 60*


*All cyber defense majors who are required to take Learning Support must also complete MSCC 1300 - Introduction to College Success 

**Students who take CISP 1010 instead of CITC 1301 will complete their degree in 61 hours rather than 60.
