Associate of Science in Teaching
Additional Degree Requirements:
- Students earning an A.S.T. degree must meet the following requirements:
- Attainment of 2.75 cumulative grade point average
- Successful completion of approved standardized examination for admission to university Colleges of Education
- Satisfactory ratings on an index of suitability for the teaching profession
- Students transferring to a UT or TBR university may need to meet additional requirements to gain admittance to the university’s early childhood program. Transferring students should check with the university for specific program requirements.

All early childhood education (Pre K-3) majors who are required to take Learning Support must also complete MSCC 1300 First Year Experience , and the degree program will require 65 credit hours.
