The Business and Technology Department provides students with an opportunity to pursue several different two-year and certificate programs of study that are designed to prepare individuals to enter the workforce or transfer to a four-year institution to acquire an undergraduate baccalaureate degree. Students are provided the option of pursuing a two-year Associate of Applied Science degree in one of four Business or Business Technology concentrations, or a special program designed specifically for Tennessee Technology Center graduates, the General Technology major. Students are also provided the option of pursuing a two-year Associate of Science or Associate of Arts degree in several different business, computer science, information systems, and engineering transfer programs. As part of the overall college, all of the Department’s two-year programs of study are accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, plus all of the Department’s two-year business and business-related programs of study are accredited by the Council for Business Schools and Programs. Additionally, students have several options relating to business and technology short- term certificate programs designed to provide specific workforce skills and knowledge.
