MATH 1710 - College Algebra/Pre-Calculus I •

3 sem hrs cr

This course includes a study of functions and their graphs, with emphasis on linear, quadratic, polynomial, rational, exponential, and logarithmic functions; equations, inequalities, and systems; matrices; conic sections; sequences and series; and probability. Prerequisite: Documented eligibility for collegiate mathematics; one high school credit each in algebra I, algebra II, and geometry. Students who have completed DSPM 0800 must pass either DSPM 0850 or MATH 1003 before taking MATH 1710. Students who have completed Learning Support must pass MATH 1003 before taking MATH 1710.
