BIOL 1050 - Introduction to Forensic Biology

This course provides an overview of the various forensic disciplines together with the basic techniques that are utilized by forensic scientists in analyzing common types of physical evidence. Activities will focus on collection, examination, evaluation and interpretation of evidence. Special emphasis is devoted to the significance of physical evidence, chemical and biological principles of the scientific techniques employed, and the capabilities and limitations of the forensic sciences.
