This course helps introduce the terms, concepts, and issues in the area of transportation and supply chain management. Areas of study include global modes of transportation, air, rail, motor truck, ship, and water and pipelines, understanding the needs of import and export including incoterms to move goods across borders.

- Define the function of transportation and manage the function to achieve consistent results in a growing global supply chain
- Describe practical applications about how to handle real-life scenarios in the logistics and supply chain management environment
- Interpret, relate to, and understand the latest professional concepts of transportation management and be able to apply them to the current global supply chain environment
- Recognize the theoretical applications of Transportation and Global Supply chains do not always result in perfect solutions to real-world problems
- Recognize the effects of the growth of a global economy and its impact on the transportation function
