MATH 1420 - Geometry for Elementary Education3 sem hrs cr
Topics include measurement, congruence, similarity, and graphing; constructions, theorems, and proofs in both non-coordinate and Cartesian settings; historical development of geometry as a tool. Activities include creating models and manipulatives. Prerequisite: Documented eligibility for collegiate mathematics; one high school credit each in algebra I, algebra II, and geometry. Prerequisite or Corequisite: Prerequisite or Corequisite: MATH 1410 or equivalent. A minimum grade of “C” is required in this course the meet the requirement of the AST degree.
