Accounting Concentration (A.A.S.)

Associate of Applied Science

The Associate of Applied Science in Business, Accounting Concentration, is designed to prepare students for employment in public, private, and governmental accounting as a paraprofessional. The program covers financial, managerial, and tax accounting using manual and computerized accounting systems.

The AAS in Business, Accounting Concentration, was developed in compliance with the Complete College Tennessee Act of 2010. Students who begin this program at Motlow State Community College and transfer to another Tennessee public community college are guaranteed that their credits will transfer and will be credited toward completion of the AAS in Business, Accounting Concentration at the receiving institution.

All accounting majors who are required to take Learning Support must also complete MSCC 1300 First Year Experience , and the degree program will require 63 credit hours.
