CST 2550 - Computer Security

This course provides an introduction to modern computer security. Topics include threats to computer security, vulnerabilities in the development and use of computer systems (protection and access control), controls to reduce or block threats, cryptographic protocols, and privacy and anonymity. The course covers the development, or style of computing, that emphasizes the critical balance between security and risk as it relates to the user developer, manager, and consumer. Prerequisite: INFS 1150 or INFS 2010 CST 2630 or permission of the appropriate department chair.
