This course provides instruction and practice in listening to, speaking, reading, and writing basic French and promotes cultural awareness. The course is designed to correct A89 foreign language deficiencies and serve as an introduction to the French language.

FREN 1001 cannot be used to satisfy any part of the foreign language sequence for an AA degree.
